Fat and Cardiovascular Disease

Should people live longer that they may enjoy much more of their lives?

The general answer to this real, big question is a resounding yes! Everyone loves to live and enjoy life longer. And living a lengthy life can be rewarding if one has maintained or kept an excellent physical condition.

But did you realize that you may definitely increase your life span by as much as nearly seven years, though at the same time keep yourself generally healthy and balanced at this stage in life?

It is certainly not difficult.. You just need to be sure that your diet plan now includes the proper varieties of foods. Basically, these foods must have reduced fat contents.

There are recent studies which showed that the results of healthy eating routines are cumulative. Health conscious individuals know for a long time that consuming healthy foods, those with low-fat contents, including fish and veggies, can in fact improve a person's physical overall health and maximize one's lifespan. This is great news for each one of us.

The following are the variety of food which I believe promote better health and longevity:

  • Almonds
  • Blueberries
  • Red grapes
  • Spinach
  • Garlic
  • Salmon and Whole grains.
  • You will notice that these foods are of those types which have very low fat contents and these have been discovered to decrease blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and in effect, lessen the risk of heart problems.

Salmon is low in fat, and has a high level of beneficial omega acids. Omega acids have been recognized to lower the risk of heart problems by more than thirty percent.

There was a research conducted to analyze the combined results of these longevity foods and it confirmed that men lived nearly seven years longer, while women lived nearly five years more versus the normal. The subjects have been also noted to have felt healthier and had healthy and fit hearts.

This research, which appeared in the British Medical Journal, basically proves that by eating healthy foods with low fat content, and rich with other helpful elements and nutrients, an individual can live much longer normally without the aid of medications for the heart.
