Best Diet for a Long Life

Do you want to enjoy life longer?

The general answer to this question is a resounding yes! Everyone likes to live and enjoy life longer. And living an extended life can be enjoyable if you have maintained a healthy physical condition.

But did you know that you could actually increase your life expectancy by as much as almost seven years, while at the same time keep yourself generally healthy at this stage in life?

It was really never hard. You just have to make sure that what you consume now consists of the right types of foods. Basically, you should be on a low fat diet.

Health conscious people know how to eat and lose weight. Eating healthy foods, those with low fat contents, such as fish and vegetables, can actually increase a person's physical wellness and increase your lifespan. That can be your best meal plan. There are new studies which revealed that the effects of healthy eating habits are cumulative. This is indeed great news for every one of us.

Listed here are those that are at the top of the list of foods that promote health and longevity:

  • Almonds
  • Blueberries
  • Red grapes
  • Spinach
  • Garlic
  • Salmon and Whole grains.
  • You will notice that these foods are of those types which have very low fat content. And these have been identified to reduce blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and in effect, reduce the risk of heart disease. These may then become part of your best diet for weight loss.

Salmon is low in fat, and has a high level of beneficial omega acids. Omega acids have been known to lower the risk of heart disease by more than thirty percent.

There was a study conducted to evaluate the combined effects of these longevity foods and it showed that men lived nearly seven years longer, while women lived nearly five years longer than the average. The subjects have been also noted to have felt better and had healthy hearts.

This study, which appeared in the British Medical Journal, simply proves that by eating healthy foods with low fat content, and rich with other beneficial elements and nutrients, a person can live much longer naturally without the aid of medicines for the heart.
