Burning Mode vs. Fat Storing Mode...
Stress effects us all to some degree, and every time it creeps up on us, our body goes through a series of chemical responses - most of which open us up for disease to set in, and to store more body fat.
It's a well known fact that no matter how hard you exercise or how well you diet, every time you face a stressful situation, your body immediately switches from Fat Burning mode - to Fat Storing mode.
Which means that your body is going to begin storing more body fat as a survival response to the stress you're encountering...Unless of course, you give your body what it needs to overcome that stress - and the best way to do that is to learn how to relax.
Here's 3 quick ways to relax stress away, and keep yourself healthy - even if you're in your office.
First...close your eyes and count backwards from 20 - 0 saying each number silently as you exhale - so you'll inhale deeply, then exhale while silently saying the number 20, then repeat saying the number 19, and so on. By the time you get to 0, your body will be flooded with oxygen and better able to handle the stress.
The second technique is to close your eyes and imagine a beautiful scene from your past - maybe something from your last vacation or when your child was born - spend 5 minutes getting deep into that visualization, actually feeling the
surroundings, smell the smells, hear the sounds, really get into every detail of your picture. Count the trees around you if you're outside - feel the sun on your face,
smell the air - once 5 minutes has passed, every cell in your body will be far less acidic and strong enough to handle the stress.
The third technique is to mentally scan your entire body - start with your feet, then work your way up to your calves, then your thighs, your butt, your abs, your lower back, your upper back, your chest,
your shoulders, your arms, your neck and your face - at each spot take a few seconds to feel that area getting warm and relaxed.
Once you learn how to handle stressful situations, you'll be able to add years to your life, you'll begin to look and feel younger, and your body will be far less likely to store bodyfat on it.
