The importance of Healthy Fats in your diet has been a truly controversial subject in the past years, in fact some readers of my books get confused when it comes to this subject – thinking that I’m totally against all fats.
That’s no where near the case – all of the research I’ve ever done, both inside the National Metabolic & Longevity Research center, and outside the research center concludes that unhealthy fats make you fat – but healthy fats (when used properly – increase your health on a cellular level, and accelerate your body’s ability to burn stored body fat.
Here's an example...
Let's say that you workout 30 minutes or more each day... you can increase your energy level and burn more fat by consuming some monounsaturated fats (like those found in olive oil) approximately 30 minutes before your workouts.
...and research at the university of Wisconsin found that women who consumed healthy monounsaturated fats before their cardiovascular workout burned bodyfat more efficiently.
BUT... The quantity varies from individual to individual.
And bear in mind, that even healthy fats can become unstable and even toxic if it’s stored improperly or cooked – so it’s best to add your fat, in it’s raw state, to your food AFTER the cooking process is over.
