Ways To Stop Those Annoying Cravings...
The best way to fire up your fat burner is not exercise.
Study after study proves that the best way to push your body into the ultimate fat-burning zone is to stick to a healthy diet.
But that's a major challenge for most people.
Earlier this year
we surveyed over 3 million people – and I asked
them to share with me their single greatest obstacle to sticking to a healthy diet.
Here's
what they said…
-
53% said their cravings for
sweets forced them off-track
-
38% said their cravings for
salty foods was their downfall
-
The other 9% said things like
boredom held them back from reaching their goals
It
just blew my mind that 91% were being held back by
their cravings!
If
you fall into that category too, here's 3 of the top
solutions...
the top 3 ways to
Put an end to your worst cravings
1. Overindulge.
You’ve heard me say this on TV, in my books,
or maybe on the radio. Taking a day off from your normal healthy diet to not just indulge in your favorite foods, but to literally overindulge is a fun way to kick your cravings.
In fact, my wife and I just enjoyed a ‘day off’ yesterday, and here’s how we did it… We drove into New York City, parked the car in the heart of what I call the restaurant district, and walked from restaurant to restaurant, eating
all day.
We stopped at a Mexican place, an Italian place, an English breakfast place, a Vegan place, a famous Pizza place – and yes we even stopped at a Bakery and a Chocolate shop :)
By the end of the day – we were so full of food that we decided to take the long way back to the car
and walk off some of that overindulgence.
We’ve enjoyed days like this once or twice a month for the past 4 years, and we’ve used these days to satisfy our cravings and keep us in
shape (because by taking time off like this, we have
something to look forward to which makes it easier
to stick to our normal healthy diet).
Now this tactic
stops cravings (plus it’s fun) but more importantly it helps you kick your metabolism into higher gear IF you limit your overindulgence days to only once every 14 days, and you follow a healthy diet the rest of the time.
2. Auto-Focus.
To stop cravings, you have to stop them at the source - your mind. The easiest way to do that is to plug into an audio program designed to reduce stress and delete mental cravings.
Last month I mentioned the program I use, and I’m still getting emails from people who are using it to relax and
turn off the stress chemicals that trigger cravings.

3. Sweeten Your Day.
This is my favorite tactic to kill a sweet
tooth while still burning fat like a machine.
If you like sweets, then completely avoiding them is the worst thing to do – because you’ll eventually break down and stop your diet. But what if you could satisfy your sweet tooth without ever going off your diet???
OK – what I’m about to share with you might not be for those die-hard cookie junkies, or religious chocoholics, but it works for me and for a lot of others who like sweets but like being in shape
a lot more.
A sweet example: every
night, before my head hits the pillow, I have a warm cup of minerals,
but not your normal minerals - these minerals
balance out your system and satisfy your sweet tooth
:)
Did you know that 43% of Americans are deficient in Magnesium? Especially those who drink a lot of water
since excess water depletes the body of certain minerals including Magnesium.
But taking a Magnesium pill
does not solve that problem – it never has!
Magnesium has to be balanced with other minerals like Sodium, Potassium and Calcium.
Long story short –
most folks drink a lot of water because water helps you stay healthy and lean –
but it’s not the amount of water you drink, it's the amount
your body uses that's important.
I had a client last year who was showing signs of dehydration even though she was drinking 10+ glasses of water a day!
It wasn’t until she added
some minerals to her diet that her body was fully able to use the water she was drinking.
But after she did – she dropped 8 pounds, was more mentally alert than she had been for over a year, and her skin became healthy.
The minerals she used, are the same ones I drink before bed every night to ward off any cravings for sweets.
It’s Peter Gillham's Natural Calm Plus
Calcium, which is a powdered drink you can find in most health food stores or on just about every online vitamin store. It’s sweetened with
all natural, 0 calorie sweeteners so it tastes great, and it’s loaded with Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and a few other nutrients that help your body absorb the minerals.
The balance in this product prevents a surplus of any one mineral in your body, while boosting the minerals that might be low – all in a sweet, warm night-time drink :)
I
don't own that company and I get nothing from
telling you about it - but it's worth checking into
:)
Summary Of Tips…
1.
Overindulge in foods that you miss (not alcohol) – but limit this to one day for each overindulgence and only once or twice a month.
2.
Auto-Focus by plugging into an audio that turns off the stress chemicals that trigger cravings.
3.
Sweeten Your Day by adding minerals that enhances the water you drink, and stops all cravings for sweets.
Until next time – here’s to your mega-health,
